What you will do
Our Contracts Project Managers are dedicated to delivering for our customer's onsite, high quality major projects across a broad range of sectors. We provide fire detection, life safety, building management systems, security and integrated solutions to end users, developers and contractors.
We are seeking a senior onsite Contracts Project Manager who can manage and co-ordinate the delivery of these integrated Fire and Security projects to their conclusion. You will be responsible for the full cost control of the project, working closely with our Quantity Surveyor (QS) and Commercial team to agree and manage the account to completion. At the forefront of your duties will be to produce monthly cost forecasts along with achieving projected revenues and gross margins. Resource planning and programme management are key fundamentals to ensuring a seamless delivery to the Client. A key responsibility will be to manage, monitor and implement the JCI Zero Harm culture to your project team to ensure safe working methods and procedures are applied consistently.
How you will do it
As the Contracts Project Manager you will be responsible for maintaining a close working relationship with the Contracts Manager and the nominated QS to review, improve and successfully achieve objectives.
You will record, monitor and advise the Contracts Manager of any defects and specification deviations.
You are accountable for delivering large scale projects, on time, within budget and in a professional manner.
You will manage and co-ordinate teams of JCI Engineers and sub-contractors whilst on site.
Conduct regular safety and quality audits on site with your engineers and sub-contractors to ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with defined procedures.
Monitor Health & Safety of allocated staff and Sub-Contractors, ensuring compliance with all legislation.
Managing of CDM regulations, method statements, risk assessments, COSHH regulations and toolbox talks on all projects being carried out.
During the projects you will manage and conduct commercial negotiations and processes including the enforcement of contract terms as required by the project.
What we look for
Experience of managing the delivery of large and multiple concurrent projects within the Fire & Security, Integrated Solutions industry or Electrical Systems within a construction environment.
Working knowledge of mainstream Fire, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder, networking systems and Electrical Installations.
Demonstrable knowledge of CDM Regulations and managing Health & Safety on site.
Ability to produce Risk and Method Statements.
A clear, responsive communicator who is able to show clear desire and determination to succeed and to deliver Projects on time and within budget.
Customer focus experience with experienced in building and maintaining relationships with Principle Contractors and end users.
Ability to serve as a commercial partner providing guidance and support, be an integral part of the customer delivery team.
Ability to be pro-active in terms of time management, delivery of information and progress management, process improvement and driving customer service success.
Ability to demonstrate ability to Plan and organise effectively.
Ability to interrogate performance and communicate changes required or celebrate success.
Someone who's IT conversant across as many platforms as possible - internal/external systems/MS office/MS Project/salesforce/sharepoint/PowerPoint,
Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
