Introduction???
My client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead and manage the engineering, fabrication and on–site assembly of the fuel storage pools for a high profile twin reactor nuclear new build project.

Roles & Responsibilities
As the Senior Programme Manager, you will be responsible for:

The development and delivery of successful strategies whilst offering an exceptional service which is customer focused and highly responsive
Management of all disciplines within the project with a particular understanding of the process and verification of change control
Managing and developing multi–functional teams including sales, operations, engineering, planning, maintenance, and R&D
Managing project development, end to end including planning and measurement of project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques, including Earned Value Management
Financial management of complex projects with particular emphasis on cost control, management of project deliverables.
Development of Work Breakdown Structures and associated activity schedules and cost centres
Risk Management and the identification and application of appropriate mitigation
Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders
Estimating the resources and staff needed to achieve project goals
Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and recruiting if necessary, during project cycle
Delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Complete progress reports, outlining on–going timeline, issues and providing problem resolutions
Client Relations, growing and establishing new and existing client relationships
Financial planning, including setting and achieving annual budgets and KPI's
Leading customer and supply chain negotiations
Accurate reporting of business performance
Strong leadership and management capabilities are essential qualities to succeed in this position which you can demonstrate throughout your career
We envisage you will have previous experience managing complex, skilled teams in a unionised environment
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Experience with NEC3 contracts
Proven experience/ability to drive quality and ensure compliance with all internal and legislative quality standards
Prior experience in managing operations, manufacturing engineering
Project management skills
Strong time management and planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Negotiation Skills
Ability to develop strong client and stakeholder relationships and the manage client expectation
Strong people management, leadership, and mentoring skills
APQP and process engineering
Prince 2 qualification, or other recognised project management qualification advantageous
