Rexel UK have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Executive to support our branch network in and surrounding Bradford. To seek, nurture and develop new business opportunities through strategic planning and positioning offering Industrial products and services to customers, maximizing sales and profit revenues within a defined geographical area. This is achieved by concentrating on establishing and developing pivotal relationships with Customers through acquiring new, retaining existing and re–activating lapsed accounts, using a varied proactive approach (both field–based sales and tele–sales activities) to support business growth.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager for Rexel, your main responsibilities will be to:
* Identifying opportunities to proactively establish, develop and convert strategic and tactical business plans in the delivery of new accounts
* Generate leads through proactive prospecting of potential customers to understand their needs in relation to our products, services and solutions providing an opportunity to be fulfilled by Rexel
* Research opportunities across new markets, alternative products, services and solutions, highlighting areas for diversification or new ways of reaching existing markets, to support and improve the business
* Utilise all sources of customer data and information to maximise opportunities for engagement to ensure the achievement of sales and gross profit budgets
* Develop and deliver solution sales utilizing and working with internal departments and relevant key suppliers
* Work collaboratively with allocated branch teams and other key stakeholders, to effectively sell the value and service proposition to the customer base
* Achieve the sales, profitability and other targets within the nominated customer account base, taking account of Customer Profitability Margin (CPM)
* Collaborate with all key stakeholders in order to ensure there is full understanding and "buy in" on the service proposition ensuring delivery to the customer
* Provide management with required reports, information and feedback to contribute to the effective strategic planning, budgeting and performance management of the business in agreed formats and within agreed timeframes
* Maintain completion of systems to provide required reports, information and feedback, in agreed formats and within timeframes set
* Maintain ethical standards in accordance with Rexel UK Ltd. policies, the Company's compliance guidelines and UK legislation
The Person:
As a Business Development Manager for Rexel, you will need:
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the Industrial market sector
* To demonstrate a successful track record and show the achievements of financial objectives and targets through developing new business
* Ability to sell services and solutions to key decision makers at all levels of business
* Demonstratable experience of working in a proactive or prospecting sales environment
* To have had experience of working in a fast–paced role, whilst maintaining a consistent eye for detail
* Ability to work with and develop business opportunities across and within multiple market sectors (i.e. Panel manufacturing, food & Bev, Automotive etc.)
To be a successful Business Developments Manager at Rexel, you must have:
* Excellent communication skills (including persuasion, negotiation and influencing)
* Good relationship and rapport building skills
* Sound commercial awareness and financial understanding
* Strategic prospecting and objection management skills including confidently demonstrating tact and diplomacy
* Strong organisation, planning and time management skills
* A flexible approach, good resilience and an ability to work under pressure
* An ability to embrace change and new technologies
* Strong IT skills (i.e. outlook, excel, PowerPoint)
This role is a FULL TIME – PERMANENT POSITION and we offer a pension, life assurance and 25 days holiday.
