Data / Technical Business Analyst sought by Pure Escapes.
We are the No 1 wholesaler in the world for luxury resorts in the Maldives and Seychelles. have offices in the UK, Dubai, Maldives and Seychelles with in excess of 40 staff. We are now looking to expand our online presence for our tour operators and travel partners who book with us from across the globe.
The Position
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data / Business Architect to work on a remote basis. You will be working across two agile development teams with the responsibility for functional analysis and how the data is stored.
Data Modelling
* Experience in enterprise data modelling (conceptual, logical and physical) for DWH/ODS.
* Data modelling for raw/business data vaults and Dimensions & Facts.
* Adherence to policies and standards and alignment with agreed strategies/regulations.
* Experience of using data modelling tools on Embarcadero ER/Studio, Erwin, Visio etc.
Design and functionality
* Understanding of the Travel Industry
* Analyze stakeholders needs and ensure that the company is meeting those needs with scalable solutions
* Experience in performing data analysis and defining data strategies.
* Experience in designing/developing data architecture with a strong understanding of data & analytics.
* Design and put into practice improvements and business transformation initiatives
* Experience in documenting functional and technical data flows based on business requirements.
* Ensure that business models are in keeping with the company's mission statement
* Transfer ideas to development and eventually to workable projects
* Adherence to Architecture Principles, Data Governance, Data Strategy, Data Standards, Data Quality and Data Modelling, Data Definitions, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehouse Bus Matrix and Data Mapping Catalogue.
* Using Confluence, Box and JIra for project documentation.
Agile
* Agile Methodology (Kanban, Scrum) experience in large–scale projects.
* Daily Scrum Stand–ups, Sprint Planning, Grooming and Retrospectives.
* Create product backlog items and user stories using agile tools e.g. JIRA.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Must have excellent computer and information technology skills.
* Must have superior analytical skills.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have good interpersonal skills.
* Must have good organizational, strategic planning and research skills
