Typical project values:–
Complete turnkey solutions GBP 250,000 – GBP 1,500,000
Individual machines GBP 75,000– GBP 75,000
Upgrades GBP25,000– GBP85,000
We're looking for an experienced Technical Sales & Business Development Manager, who will be in charge of scaling UK sales, targeting the following sectors: food production, pet food, bottling, building materials, FMCG, logistics & warehousing
The role will be remote, with regular travel to client locations and our headquarters in Crowborough, UK.
Responsibilities
* Sales – to win orders against national and international competition
* Market – Constantly monitor and report the competitive and customer landscape, trending change and planning appropriately to maximise any opportunity
* Management Team – Support the management team in the development, preparation and delivery of objectives of the Company's Annual Operating Plan
* Customers – Continue to build high–level relationships at customer sites to build a strategic understanding of customer's business and effectively manage the CRM system. Own the customer journey from enquiry through to delivery
* Continuous Improvement – Develop and implement strategies to accelerate the adoption of continuous improvement philosophies
Skills
* 5+ years of relevant experience
* Proven success with Sales and Business Development & prospecting
* Track record in a complex, technical sales environment (engineering, logistics, packaging machinery would be advantageous)
* Ability to develop individual, case by case sales strategies, and multi–year marketing plans
* High level commercial and strategic ability
* Able to demonstrate 'solution based selling' with adoption and utilization of technical knowledge
* Be able to show authoritative leadership at all levels, internally and externally
* Eloquent – good presenter – with oral and written communication skills
