Info about what the role entails
The Head of Product Development will be involved in leading a multidisciplined team, including Hardware, Software and Mechanical Engineering functions to develop new products. Reporting to the Technical Director, the role will also include the following responsibilities:
* Ensuring the new product development roadmap is delivered on time and on cost
* Continuously assess and improve the development strategy for both new and existing products.
* Developing the capabilities of the team and staff and recruiting and retaining good engineering talent.
* Work with Product Management in a constructive manner to deliver products exceeding customer expectations in an efficient and timely manner
* Change Management – adept at managing change, preparing, support and guiding stakeholders through improvement initiatives.
* Liaise with customers on New product developments and resolving Technical issues.
Essential Requirements of the Head of Product Development
* Must posses a deep understanding of Embedded Electronics Development
* Previous experience leading multidisciplined teams (minimum 20), including Embedded Firmware, Electronics, Software and Mechanical
* Must have experience working in a safety or highly regulated environment

* Exposure working for a global organisation
