Legal 200 law firm in the West Midlands seeks a Construction Director on a permanent basis.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced solicitor operating at either director or senior associate level to join a top tier construction department located in Birmingham. Utilising your knowledge and expertise in this field of law, the successful director will act for clients including developers, housebuilders, local authorities and contractors on a wide range of contentious and non–contentious construction work. Additionally, you will have the drive to build a network of clients and contribute to the continued success of the team.

Responsibilities

Contentious and non–contentious matters
High value, complex disputes
International construction projects
Adjudications
Professional negligence disputes
Drafting and negotiating contracts
Breach of contract
Alternative dispute resolution
Building client relationships
Participation in business development
The Candidate

Qualified solicitors with a minimum of 8 years' PQE
Technical proficiency in contentious and non–contentious construction is essential
Possesses outstanding communication and client care skills
Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Demonstrates a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
Is pro–active, driven and professional
Has an aptitude for business development and networking
