About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the Financial Controller & Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and growing a 'best-in-class' finance function as the division continues to expand. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implement and develop high-quality processes, controls and systems which enable efficient, timely and accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to ensuring integrity and accuracy of weekly and monthly reporting to the Divisional Management Team, budget holders and other stakeholders in the wider business
- Ownership & accountability for balance sheet integrity and reconciliations
- Develop internal relationships to generate knowledge and understanding to promote best practice
- Proactively identify opportunities to support the business including ongoing, ad hoc projects to enhance business performance
- Maintain and improve financial reporting procedures, ensuring effective documentation of risk and related contingency plans
- Liaise with Group auditors in co-ordination of statutory, tax, and applicable regulatory declarations and fillings
- Full involvement in current banking syndications arrangements, including monthly reconciliations and routine banking audits

- Experience of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and statutory accounts
- Experience of Audit pack preparation in line with Group instructions and working closely with external Auditors during visits/reviews
- Experience of implementing and improving financial and operational processes
- Well-organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and numeric abilities with expertise in using data to drive improvements
- Good influencer with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
