Are you a professional Business Development Manager with a desire to join a leading and very fast–growing ethical Energy Consultancy which specialises in the procurement of renewable energy?
I have been instructed to recruit a motivated Business Development Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of new customers. Primarily promoting transparent and strategic energy procurement services but also introducing a range of other energy and carbon reduction services to their customer base.
Key sectors are Independent Schools, Academies and Multi Academy Trusts, plus Hospitality and Leisure.
The ideal Business Development Manager will have demonstrable experience of the energy sector, possibly with a technical understanding of the Gas and Electricity Supply industry.
This is a perfect role for a genuine team player who has the ability to maintain high standards!
Key responsibilities:
Generating new business opportunities in the key sector of education, plus hospitality and leisure where opportunities arise.
Day to day management of a new prospect pipeline.
Development of marketing campaigns.
Achievement of New Business Sales targets and standard expectations.
Attending conferences and other events aligned to target markets.
Relationship building with new and existing customers including site visits where appropriate.
Analyse new client energy contracts and present contract proposals to new clients.
Proactively manage your portfolio of customers to maximise benefit to the client and the company.
Resolving general energy account queries both identified internally and from your customers.Skills and experience required:
Ideally a candidate will possess a good understanding of the Electricity and Gas sector.
A background within or marketing to the key sector of Education would be an advantage, plus Hospitality and Leisure where appropriate
Experience managing a portfolio of businesses, including managing pipelines and driving new business sales.
Self–motivated with the ability to be a part of a small team, rather than a larger corporate structure.
Excellent communication and organisational skills – ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within client organisations.The successful candidate will be accurate and methodical, as well as having a clear understanding of business processes. You will have great attention to detail and have strong and professional communication skills.
