Working for a global engineering business, initially from home, but when restrictions are lifted the role will be based in Darlington, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager whose knowledge has been gained specifically from the purchasing arena. The start date of the assignment will be from mid April 2021 and will be for approximately one year.
Candidates will possess at least 5 years' of previous work experience in purchasing field is required as well as the flexibility to assist the HM on alternative assignments,.
The role
Supporting the Global programs and team in the UK, reporting directly into a US based Hiring Manager Manage, develop and implement projects of varying complexity and size in assigned functional area Partners with business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion
Lead purchasing efforts for the assigned VPI programs as core team member Manage and Champion change.
Deal with high program complexity due to after treatment products being very technically driven Work very closely with cross functional teams to meet program deliverables
Manage NPD projects with sourcing teams and engineering which include engaging on leading stewardship of cost management guiding and collaborating with Sourcing Teams on appropriate handshakes between technical needs, sourcing and commercial benefit
