We are a key service provider to the automotive industry and now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will need to have proven sales, negotiation and closing skills along with the ability to develop relationships with potential clients.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
* Drive the sales pipeline and ensure good collaboration throughout the business lines.
* Meet or exceed agreed sales targets by working to the agreed strategy.
* Proactively investigate and prospect new clients to promote DEKRA's Training and network solutions.
* Identify potential for additional sales (upsell and cross–sell) with new customers.
* Identify, develop and realise sales revenue with new customers, business and product opportunities
* Support the Head of Sales to diversity the client portfolio across all sectors of activity.
* Develop a close working bond with identified decision makers at key accounts
* Record new opportunities, proposals and supporting documents on the central management system and provide regular updates to the Head of Sales on BD initiatives and activities undertaken.
* Support Head of Sales with sales forecasting for multiple audiences.
* Issue proposals, following the agreed sales process and document templates in use.
* Convert proposals to orders and contract signature.
* Handover new "Won" projects to the Operations team.
* Developing marketing collateral
Required skills and experience:
* Experience within Training & Consultancy services (preferably with a high level of exposure to digital solutions – LMS, remote training, virtual/ augmented reality technologies)
* Experience in the automotive industry (desirable)
* Experienced in project management and driving sales
* Proven experience in new product solution sales in an evolving market
* Proven ability to develop and drive a pipeline of opportunities
* Excellent understanding of sales processes and service delivery
* Educated to degree level
* Excellent communication – verbal and written
