Head of Training and Development – (contract) – London
An opportunity exists to join a leading London based residential developer with over 450 employees as Head of Training and Development. You will be responsible for developing the people offering to enhance employee engagement and the business culture. You will focus on supporting talented, high performing and engaged people through dedicated training and development planning.
This is initially a contract position with the opportunity to go permanent.
The role requires significant senior stakeholder management and taking responsibility for developing the broader people plan in a complex business.
Key deliverables:
Design and develop the internal training and development offering for the business
Work closely with senior stakeholders and our partners to evolve development offering in line with the priorities of the business
Provide a clear understanding of the key issues in the management of development and training
Work with external consultants to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion is built into all training and development
Plan and manage individual and team training and development needs
In line with current business practice procure good quality training that meets the needs of the business
Measure and provide feedback on effectiveness of training
Desirable skills and experience
Experience of heading up the training and development offering of a business
Experience in leadership and management of change in large and complex organisations
Experience of developing and implementing people based strategies
Able to demonstrate background specialism in diversity, inclusion and well being and bring new understanding and ideas to complement the business
Experience in delivering workshops and/or information to groups of employees internally
Experience working with proven specialist training providers
Understanding of the culture of a progressive property development business
Experience giving 360 feedback and coaching
