Immediate start 3 day a week Project Manager opportunity. GBP(Apply online only)pd Umbrella rate. This role is for 3 month initially.
Key responsibilities:
– Coordinate input from various internal stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of the project.
This includes coordinating activities between ICT technical specialists, the Internal Communications Manager and the Head of Content Creation and Digital.
– Ensure that the project and the first two of four monthly tranches of new extranet content are delivered on time.
– Lead on the detailed definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
– Developing a detailed project plan to steer and track progress
– Report issues of concern and key learning points, and escalate to management as needed
– Establish and manage relationships with all stakeholders for extranet development
– Establish and maintain relationships with the ICT team working on the technical platform for the new extranet in SharePoint
– Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
– Meet with relevant managers to take detailed briefs and capture their specific requirements from the project
– Delegate selected project tasks to the Internal Communications Assistant
– Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with ICT/Head of Content Creation and Digital and other selected managers
– Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements – skills and experience:
– Familiarity with key concepts, practices and procedures in the field of internal communications and intranet/extranet development.
– Ability to work on own initiative on a variety of tasks to meet goals
– Experience of and ability in leading and coordinating the work of others
– Flexibility and adaptability in response to stakeholder needs.
– A strong track record in project management
– Excellent client–facing and internal communication skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
– Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint/ MS 365
– Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II / Agile project management certification is a plus
– Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
