Primary role purpose:

You will provide leadership and strategic thinking to create and drive adoption of clear commercial rationale and tangible offer frameworks for development of new offers to markets, in life offer management and product lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and own the frameworks that define & govern how the offer is presented to the end–user by Sales (Offer Catalogue) – this includes parameters for pricing, service and SLA options, including assessing the implications of incentives and promotions on the core offer, aligning products with distribution channel and partner selection prioritized to maximise margin and deliver against market opportunities across the group

* Define and deliver value propositions and associated commercial offers to incentivise product and service adoption and support customer tenure and value growth

* Establish a new team to define and manage commercial offers, including supporting channel incentivisation to support customer acquisition, retention and value growth

* Influence a broad range of senior stakeholders across the business units to adopt and adhere to the new ways of working within defined commercial frameworks

* Support definition and streamlining of the governance approach over adherence to the frameworks, whereby only exceptional items will require governance approval

* Ensure offer lifecycle is analysed and evaluated in order to make the right decisions about when to launch, when to scale and when to retire products and services

* Foster effective working relationships with operational support teams to ensure lifecycle decisions are delivered in a cost and time efficient way, keeping a constant eye on the "cost to serve"

* Establish strong connections with the Business Units to build a comprehensive understanding of the value propositions across all our products and in turn build the most profitable product portfolio across the Inmarsat enterprise.

* Ensure the full commercial offer is optimised for financial profit, whilst maintaining market competitiveness

* Work closely with finance, BI/data teams to establish data–driven decision making, not only with KPIs but also generating data to test new hypotheses regarding which markets to compete in and which products to build

* Provide people leadership and professional development for a team of (eventually) 15–20 FTE
