Recruit 121 are working exclusively with the Board of Puffin Produce Limited to recruit a new high motivated and ambitious Finance Director to join them and help execute their high growth business strategy over the coming years, with the view to taking a Group Board level in the future.

Overview:

The candidates will need to have a track record of delivery in a high growth environment where cash management and funding will form critical parts of taking the expansions plans from a concept to a reality. Alongside a strong understanding of the importance of driving operational performance and how this is intertwined with financial performance.

FMCG experience would be beneficial but not essential in finding the right individual for the role.

Finance Director Responsibilities include:

• Being an active director and board team member, being involved in the strategic decisions and direction of the business as well as the overall monitoring of performance and growth
• Lead a high performing finance function and team
• Exceptional cash management and funding expertise to deliver a brand new business including a £16m+ Capex programme in the next two years
• Ensure the Strategy, Financial Plans and Budgets align and focus on Optimal Performance
• Challenge current business performance, process and strategy, plan effectively and quantify initiatives that will drive performance
• Develop and implement new initiatives and improvements, working closely with the Board and senior management taking a proactive approach to business development
• Identify areas for capital investment and prepare ROI appraisals to drive efficiency and improve scalability
• Work closely with the commercial team on new and existing opportunities
• Oversee the continual improvement of financial systems and reporting to ensure maximum efficiency, clarity and effectiveness

The individual

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
• A proven track record of FD/CFO level in a high growth environment
• Exceptional leadership and managerial skills
• Outstanding strategic mind with excellent commercial acumen
• A natural leader with ability to motivate and inspire others
• Adept at balancing a wide range of responsibilities and delegating to those around them
• Recognises and embraces the cultural and ethical values of the organisation
• Would suit someone who enjoys the outdoors and everything that Pembrokeshire has to offer!
