Senior Business Analyst
This new created Senior Business Analyst role will be responsible for Business Analysis deliverables on a program, strongly linked to operationalising new and existing systems and optimising operational performance, to deliver the agreed business benefits.
The Senior Business Analyst works as part of a cross functional team completing business analysis; deliverables include defining and optimising the operational processes to support delivery of new systems including the process of gathering, elicitation, prioritisation, tracking and documenting of business requirements, business rules, and benefits and disbenefits identification.
Senior Business Analyst Responsibilities:
• Perform business analysis and systems analysis on high profile, highly complex and strategic business initiatives.
• Be able to gather and document business requirements.
• Document existing business processes and ideate digital processes.
• Support/lead implementation of process changes in the organisation
• Lead the effective transition of operations onto new systems, optimise processes during and post transition to maximise efficiency and effectiveness –
• Support delivery of agreed business benefits linked to optimising Operations through technology delivery
• Liaise with Business Stakeholders at all levels to ensure common understanding of business objectives and scope.
• Analysis of business processes and systems, making recommendations for their improvement with the use of modelling and statistical research.
• Work with business representatives and stakeholders to elicit their business requirements, using appropriate techniques e.g. workshops, questionnaires, 1:1 interviews etc.
• Use a combination of business and technical knowledge , determine the implication of feasibility of system design and integration working closely with architects and developers.
• Communicate proposed solutions back to business stakeholders to ensure these meet with the business requirement
• Capture risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies both at a project and requirements level.
Senior Business Analyst Requirements:
• Ideally a BCS Diploma in Business Analysis.
• Experience in leading Business Analysis activity working with key Stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience in Waterfall and Agile business analysis approaches.
• Extensive experience in Product and Business process definition and notation.
• Experience in optimising process whilst embedding new systems.
• Implementing change.
• Ideally Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Familiarity and experience of working with Business Architecture would be desirable.
