An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Family Solicitor to join a highly reputable and Legal 500 practice with a great presence in the south. They are a full–service firm with other offices in Surrey and London.
They are seeking a Senior Solicitor with an exceptional understanding of the market to join their Camberley office to lead the family department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in dealing with a full range of Family work gained at a reputable law firm.
You will be bringing on new cases on a variety of matters to include divorce and separation, private children matters and financial agreements / disputes. The caseload will be privately funded.
Duties will include:
Managing and building your own caseload
Managing the team and supervising members of staff
Advising on a variety of mid to high net worth, privately funded family matters to include Divorce / Separation, Financial Disputes, Civil Partnership Dissolution, Child Care Law and Pre–Nuptials
Travelling to client meetings
Be actively involved in marketing and business development activities to help grow the department
The successful candidate will:
Have good academics – Degree/LPC/Training Contract or have achieved FCILEx status
Have at least 5+ Years PQE of working experience within a family department, ideally heading up or managing a team
Be a member of resolution or hold a specialist family accreditation or be a qualified mediator is highly desirable
Offer sound legal advice to a diverse client base
Maintain your continuing professional development requirements
Be self–motivated with a drive to develop the department by going out and networking
Work in a collaborative manner within the team and wider firm
Have a positive approach and strong work ethic
Have successful marketing and business development skills
