HR Business Partner - WD
We currently have an opportunity for a HR Business Partner - Generalist, to join our organisation and to partner with business leaders across the UK.
Whilst the role will ideally be based from one of our Midlands offices, it will involve approximately 50% travel covering our offices across the UK (post Covid-19), so willingness to travel is essential, flexibility to work from home will also be available.
What you will do
Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with the regional Employee Relations Partner, this role will undertake a full range of generalist HR activities, working in partnership with management and other key stakeholders the role will ensure effective implementation of enterprise wide and local initiatives. This includes Talent Development, Performance Management, Workforce Planning and Diversity & Inclusion whilst constantly striving to develop and improve ways of working both with the business and the Centres of Excellence in line with the business/functional strategy.
How you will do it
Ensure strategic and tactical people plans are developed, by utilising HR analytics and translating them into actionable solutions.
Provide coaching, advice and guidance to develop management capabilities.
Drive the talent agenda through succession planning and the Organisational Talent Reviews to develop effective people, talent, diversity and inclusion strategies in order to achieve business goals.
Work with the management team to drive employee engagement, retention and high performance.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and their management team in the designated business areas, promoting good enterprise leadership practices.
Advise and develop organisational changes through structural design, job profiling and workforce planning.
Support the business and appropriate COEs on performance management, recruitment, mobility, annual pay reviews, incentives and deliver training as required.
Lead a variety of projects and initiatives to support the HR strategy and growth.
Assist with the due diligence of potential acquisitions and the integration of employees into the business.
Work with the wider HR team to share ideas, best practice and ensure the team is working towards common HR and business goals.

Required
For this role we are looking for a resilient and adaptable HR Business Partner with solid generalist HR experience, ideally having worked in a large multiple sites and complex commercial environment.
Significant relevant experience in HR
Excellent technical HR ability and gravitas to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Experience of leading and driving D&I, wellness and engagement initiatives
Proven ability to leading projects and driving change
Experience working in a fast paced and matrixed organisation with a solution focused and customer centric mind-set
Proven ability to operate strategically and have a hands-on approach including building organisational talent and workforce plans
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Collaborative approach
Previous experience within a unionised environment and/or acquisitions would be advantageous
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong analytical skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Workday
Preferred
CIPD qualified
Diploma or degree desirable
