Job Description
This is a rare opportunity to work on and be part of the team of a major, complex Aircraft modification programme and gain valuable experience for a future in Project Management of Complex Systems.
We are looking to recruit a suitable candidate for up to 5 months duration in ensuring completion of a number of project work packages within a highly complex Aircraft Modification. This will involve but not be limited to the following:
* Coordinating with Project staff on project documents and deliverables.
* Assist Project Director with planning of subcontracted work.
* Assist the Project Director with shipments of materials to the appropriate sites as required.
* Provide regular updates into the Integrated Master Schedule to ensure compliance with Project timescales.
* Ensure work packages are delivered within approved budgets.
* Assist in maintaining positive and effective communication during the course of the project.
* May be asked to execute additional work packages.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Proven experience of delivering work packages within a highly complex project
* Proven experience working within either a Project management, Continuous Improvement or management environment
* Strong ICT skills
* Project Management APM qualification
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst being part of an Integrated Project Team
* Highly motivated, with a proactive approach to managing workload
* Well–organised, with the ability to work on own initiative
Desirable:
* Ideally, the candidate will have an Engineering / Project Management background gained within Aerospace and/or Defence.
* Project management and/or risk management qualifications
