We are delighted to be working exclusively with a medical supplier based in North London. They are now uniquely positioned to take their next steps in the journey to expansion. Central to that is a Head of Multi–channel marketing to drive forwards all aspects of marketing to underpin an exciting period of growth via a marketing team of 6.
Ideal candidate? This is a demanding role where originality of thought is backed by sound commercial awareness & extensive marketing knowledge. The following level of experience is required – is this genuinely you?
– A marketing expert with a proven track record of driving forwards creative marketing strategies
– Extensive knowledge of above & below line marketing
– A high degree of success across digital / e–comm marketing with good examples of innovation & creativity
– Always aware of trends in the sector especially amongst competing companies
– Adept at putting together marketing plans for different sectors whilst maintaining the core identity
– Commercially focused & therefore able to cost out projects
– Used to working cross functionally with sales teams & operations to achieve a common goal
– Absolutely customer focused with a record of putting in place key measures
Role summary:
* As a senior manager, work in combination with other key team members to produce the annual business plan in order to deliver the strategic plan
* Produce an annual marketing plan, including a detailed budget that supports the annual business plan objectives. Budget vs actual spend will be reported via detailed department management accounts, provided by the accounts team
* Deliver the departmental business objectives as detailed in the annual business plan. These will include but not restricted to campaign plans, promotional offers, PR, market analysis & customer feedback initiatives across the various channels to market
* Ensure the marketing function is correctly resourced as part of producing the annual marketing content of the business plan.
* Focused on maximising the return on all areas of expenditure including departmental employment costs.
* Be responsible for the launching and measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
* Responsible for the website content including the educational aspects, shape & feel of the site, search engine optimisation.
* Responsible for creating both the internal and external marketing material
* A monthly report will be produced to a pre–defined format. The report will be presented at the Operational Board meeting as defined by the Managing Director
* New product development responsible for instigating new initiatives as required in the business plan.
* Enforce adherence to legal guidelines including EU GDP to ensure marketing initiatives comply legal requirements
* Represent the client in public forums as required by the business
* Lead discussions regarding creating the vision for the business. This to include brand vision and profile and ensure its delivery through to the team
* Provide an outstanding consistent customer experience in line with the definitions within the business plan. The customer experience will be assessed via the use of end to end customer analytics – Trustpilot, Iwantgreatcare etc. Provide an analysis of customer feedback to the management team
* Move creatively and swiftly to take advantage of market opportunities
* Carry out departmental appraisals / reviews and recommend training for team members in line with appraisal outcome
