Finance Manager (operations)

Holbeach

£60,000 - £65,000 (+ Car / Bonus / Pension / Excellent Holidays etc.)

This is a site based role and the key to your success and achievement will your business partnering skills.

It’s very much part of the site leadership team and you’ll be an absolutely vital component in the ongoing success of the thriving business unit. Ultimately you are the day to day ‘number one in finance’ for a £100m turnover, complex FMCG manufacturing business. You’ll be pivotal in providing a financial sounding board to the operations director / senior ops team locally (whilst also having a reporting line into a senior finance lead within group at another UK location).
  • You’ll be someone who loves a continuous improvement production environment. You’ll have chance to really life the bonnet and provide key daily, weekly, monthly and annual insights into the drivers of finance performance (notably where are the cost holes and how can profit be sensibly maximised).
  • You will be a commercially aware CIMA / ACCA qualified finance professional with a track record of success and achievement within a manufacturing environment (FMCG ideally).
  • You will be someone who takes pleasure in working with non finance colleagues in the production facility and someone who backs themselves to be able to influence positive change.
  • You will lead a range of projects alongside the routine management accounting / analysis / budgeting / forecasting.
Your insight and MI will provide a vital platform for key decision making at the facility and you will be the immediate ‘go to’ when it comes to understanding the numbers / site performance.

There is significant scope to 1) make a difference and 2) progress your career here.

The group is in excellent shape and is set for continued UK and international growth.

You will need:
  • Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing group.
  • Experience of delivering added value projects.
  • ACCA / CIMA (completed professional qualification)
  • Ability to demonstrate that you can proactively identify areas for improvement and use your analysis / gravitas and relationship-building skills to influence change.
  • Confidence to be the finance lead for a complex growing site.
  • A commercial awareness and a keen focus on cost and profit drivers in a production setting.
