Job Description
As an Associate Technical Director, you will be a leader within our UK–wide Development Services community, leading project teams to deliver complex, multi–disciplinary projects through the development process. The projects you'll work on will range from rapid due diligence commissions to long–term strategic land schemes taking sites, such as those in the garden communities programme, from acquisition to planning and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced professional with significant experience in development management. As a leader in the business, we require somebody with a proven in–depth knowledge of the site acquisition and development process, as well as significant experience of the property development industry. A proven track record of leadership, encompassing project direction, team management and being a health & safety champion is essential.

Your Day–to–Day
* Lead the delivery of complex, multi–disciplinary projects ensuring client satisfaction, effective project and commercial management, good communication and collaboration between Arcadis colleagues and sub–consultants.
* Engage with clients and all key stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of project objectives and to establish protocols for working together.
* Work collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to develop and propose innovative solutions and propositions to meet or exceed client expectations.
* Develop strong, partnering relationships with senior client personnel to identify and resolve issues, identify business opportunities and influence their decision making.
* Lead the preparation of high–quality winning bids.
* Manage, coach and mentor development professionals to support the Arcadis talent pool.
* Lead the Development Services Community of Practice to ensure our development professionals continuously learn and improve the way we approach multi–disciplinary development projects.
* Keep up to date with developments in the industry and seek out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile (e.g. conference presentations, publications and social media)
* Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis, of the client's business and the industry to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal and company credibility in the industry.
Requirements
* Extensive experience in development management
* Chartered professional Status
* Experience in managing business relationships at senior management level.
* Line management experience.
* Ability to work both independently, within a local office–based team, and larger multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects to tight deadlines and budgets.
