About the Group Finance Business Partner role
As our Group Finance Business Partner, you will be supporting several of our Head Office functions from a finance perspective, but initially with a focus on Group Property. You will report to the Corporate Finance Director and work closely with our Head Office functions, to help deliver lasting value to the business. We want you to provide expert financial advice and challenge, to support effective decision making and help deliver the Group's objectives.
When you first join, there will be a specific focus on supporting the creation of the Group Property strategy from a finance perspective, ensuring that each division within the business clearly understands its current and future exposure to property related costs. This will include supporting the annual planning and budgeting process from a property cost and Capex perspective, reviewing the quarterly property spend against budget (Opex and Capex), and reviewing all Capex submissions.
You will work closely with Group Finance, to ensure all Group Property costs are correctly reflected in the accounts, along with any required disclosures. You will also be responsible for the audit process of the Group Property database.
About you
Minimum requirements for our Group Finance Business Partner:
* Degree qualified (or equivalent)
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
* At least 3 years' post qualified experience, including time spent working in industry
* A good business understanding, able to link financial data to performance, able to drive change and improve processes, working at pace
* Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* An excellent relationship builder and communicator, collaborative, able to challenge
* Analytical, a problem solver, delivery focussed, proactive, commercial, self–sufficient
