Job Description
Genomics England are starting multiple new transformational multi–million–pound research and healthcare projects beginning over the next few weeks. We are looking for support to get these up and running as soon as possible and are seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join the implementation planning team as we turn these projects into reality from a standing start.
We are looking for an approachable, collaborative, and inclusive individual with great experience in organisational design, workforce planning and proactive people partnering to start immediately on a 3 month contract with the potential to extend.
You will be the primary day–to–day point of contact from the People Directorate, working closely with the Implementation Lead, whilst supporting key stakeholders. You'll provide generalist HR support, advice and policy interpretation across the full spectrum of programme related activities, ensuring People decisions and solutions are aligned to wider HR strategy, policies & priorities. You'll work with the Talent team and Hiring Managers to develop role profiles and resourcing plans for project delivery within the context of the broader workforce plan, including attraction, onboarding and development.

Skills and Experience for Success
We anticipate the ideal candidate will:
* Have experience of change programmes
* Be curious about the Future of Work and bringing pragmatic creativity to solutions
* Have proven HR Generalist experience working within a fast–paced, matrixed, preferably agile environment, in a large, complex organisation AND a fast–growth Tech environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and new ways of thinking
* Strong knowledge and application of UK employment law, contracts, and regulations, current best practice / thinking in Human Resources issues and trends as well as knowledge, interpretation and hands–on experience of standard HR policies and procedures
* Have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, a busy workload and prioritise competing demands in a calm and professional manner, building credibility and offering a sense of stability
* Take the initiative, originates action – willing to do whatever it takes
* Communicate challenges and influences a variety of stakeholders effectively. Ability to present sound and well–reasoned arguments to convince others. Able to draw from a range of strategies to persuade people in a way that results in agreement or behaviour change
Qualifications
CIPD Level 7 qualified (or equivalent experience)
