One of the leading construction businesses in Scotland is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of schemes in Edinburgh/Lothians. The Senior Project Manager will take the lead on major works with project values up to GBP30m across a number of sectors including Commercial, Residential and Education. The Senior Project Manager will ensure that the company is delivering a quality build within programme timescales and to budget and be a key interaction with the client, building a mutually respectful relationship which supports collaborative working.
Ideally, you will have experience of delivering major schemes across a number of sectors, but with key working knowledge of the residential market. You will be results focussed and be able to drive those around you to success. You will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in always delivering quality projects. You will work with others, both our own people and through the supply chain in a progressive manner, ensuring the company move forward as a business through a culture of learning.
QUALIFICATIONS/RELEVANT SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Previous management experience in the UK construction industry.
Valid CSCS Card.
Certified in SMSTS via CITB.
Experience in dealing with Architects, Engineers, Clients, Sub–contractors.
Good knowledge of current construction techniques, building standards and construction regulations.
High standards of health and safety compliance.
Programme management.
Good level of computer literacy.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Awareness of budget compilation & management.
Analytical & problem–solving skills.
Methodical approach to tasks undertaken.
Ability to work on own initiative.
