A Financial Cnotroller is required by our Charity client based near Lancaster. A salary of up to GBP50k is available.
The Financial Controller will ensure effective strategic and operational financial planning as well as financial analysis and reporting to enhance the company's decision–making process. You will maintain day–to–day responsibility for all aspects of finance, including payroll, accounting, financial reporting and financial control and management as well as taking care to ensure the efficient running of the administration function.
The Finance Controller will manage a small Finance team and financial systems as well as policies and procedures, internal controls and regulatory compliance. You will provide strategic direction to long term financial planning, create forecasting models and assess financial risk, and work closely with the CEO to ensure finance provides the necessary level of support to the business.
At one level this role reports to the Board, but you will also provide functional duties overseeing the preparation of financial records related to general ledger, payroll, budget, and expenses and provide information to the external auditors for the annual audit.
Required skills:
– Proven work experience as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance.
– An accounting qualification such as CIMA/ACA or ACCA would be desirable.
– Strong financial strategies and experience managing an accounting team.
– Hands–on experience with budgeting and risk management.
– Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
This role is working from home initially with a requirement to attend the offices as required. Driving licence is essential.
Salary:
A basic salary up to GBP50k is available plus 25 days + 5% pension + life assurance and bonus.
