Civil Litigation Lawyer – Locum
Sue Ross Legal are recruiting for a Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer on behalf of a government organisation based in Sheffield.
The role is to start asap and is expected to run until the Summer at the earliest. Duties will include;
* Providing legal representation, advocacy, advice and support on all aspects of civil litigation including public sector housing law, contract, negligence, nuisance, commercial disputes including debt recovery (private individuals and commercial undertakings) and all other civil torts.
* Conduct of litigation before all courts and tribunals
* Conducting advocacy before first tier courts and tribunals and equivalent forum and before second tier court and tribunals as appropriate.
* Legal drafting to include statements, reports, pleadings , instructions to counsel, court orders and settlement agreements as required and as a necessary part of the conduct of legal proceedings before all relevant courts and tribunals.
* Providing legal advice, representation and support in defending judicial review and all other civil proceedings as required.
To be considered for this role it is essential that you are available to start work immediately and have experience of handling your own caseload of mixed Civil Litigation files including the specific areas above.
