Our client is a multinational insurance firm that engages in global insurance, investment management, and other financial services.

Position Details;

Position Title: Project Manager (3 months)

Department: Global Markets - reporting to the Chief Sales & Distribution Officer

Location: Home Based (Full-Time)

Position Summary;

  • Responsible for the successful management and delivery of a large, critical regulatory-based project that is fundamental to the Global Markets (commercial) team
  • Responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of the project
  • Ownership of the end to end project and associated work streams
  • Reporting to the Chief Sales & Distribution Officer who sits on the Executive Committee
  • Relationship management with key stakeholders and SME's and an effective interface to best support the business need

Key Responsibilities;

  • Develop and own the project roadmap & project plan; prioritise, monitor and manage performance against agreed milestones, to deliver successful outcomes to time, within scope, budget and quality
  • Ensure the project scope, objectives and deliverables are met, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical and operational feasibility
  • Define and document business requirements in a well-structured manner, to ensure that they can be effectively communicated, articulated, and clearly understood by stakeholders and the wider business
  • Identify, establish and build strong working relationships with all stakeholders, to ensure effective collaboration, communication and project delivery
  • Manage changes in project scope & schedule, via appropriate verification techniques and change control
  • Define tasks, priorities and required resources, ensuring that resource is available and allocated
  • Work on changes to customer-facing materials, as required
  • Identify and lead proactive management of actions, issues, risks and dependencies. Perform risk management to minimise project risks and offer viable solutions. Ensure timely escalation of complex queries and deviations from plan
  • Build and provide regular reports, status updates and presentations, whilst maintaining relevant project documentations
  • Present progress reports to the Chief Sales & Distribution Officer and other senior stakeholders, as well as issues and solutions, as required

Skills & Experience;

  • Significant project management experience with a proven history in managing large, business-critical projects
  • Comfortable having a 'hands on' role, with experience of driving projects to completion
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  • Proficiency with related software tools including, but not limited to, ProjectManager.com, MS Excel, etc.
  • PMP/PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Financial services, insurance market and regulatory knowledge is desirable, but not a necessity
  • Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to liaise at a senior level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
