Head of Digital Subscriptions
Role overview
We are looking for an individual who first and foremost is a marketer.
You will have a great deal of experience in formulating and executing ideas and tactics to drive high quality acquisition while nurturing and retaining subscribers and members.
The role requires a breadth of experience, imagination and creativity, drive, and organisation. It is critically important that you are highly data– and technology–savvy as we operate subscriptions across many titles, so we deal with scale in everything we do. Editorial is the heart of our offering, so publishing experience would be hugely advantageous.
Our consumer media audience strategy is very focussed...
* Commercial Revenues – continued audience and traffic growth to support digital advertising and partnership revenues
* Reader Revenues – establishing and growing a substantial and sustainable subscriptions business
We have identified the need for a new role to join our growing Digital Subscriptions team which comprises marketing, product, data, technology, UX and customer support resource.
The potential job title for this new role is Head of Digital Subscriptions and will report into the Group Product Director. The overall focus of the role is acquisition and retention and will lead all marketing and customer support activities, while working daily and hand–in–hand with product, design, UX and technology. You'll have 5 or 6 direct reports and manage the relationship with key technology partners
