Senior Project Manager (IT) Hertfordshire Permanent GBP68,000 per annum plus benefits to include car
Our client a leader within the construction industry are seeking a Senior Project Manager (IT) on a permanent basis within their head office located in Rickmansworth.
The main purpose of the role will be to manage the full lifecycle delivery of allocated IT projects and programmes required across the business functions within the constraints of cost, time and quality available, managing project budgets, risks and issues, stakeholder management activities and communication plans.
MAIN DUTIES:
Manage the full lifecycle delivery of allocated IT projects. Creating and managing a credible project plan. Managing project budgets, risks and issues, stakeholder engagement and communication plans
Be accountable for defining, creating and delivering on agreed project plans ensuring realisation of required business benefits objectives stated in the Business Case.
Be a visionary leader for projects and programmes, articulating the direction and defining the boundaries.
Manage large programmes delivering business change, providing effective co–ordination of the programme's projects and management of their inter–dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising.
Managing the programme or project's budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses.
Support the on–going PMO development and help evolve the project delivery framework and internal PM processes, procedures, skills and capabilities.
Set, document and agree project methodology and approach for each project to meet the highest quality and standards.
Assist during major incidents as required.
Proactive handling of all incidents, problems and change requests within the IT strategic support tool according to the IT Service Management Policy
Ensure adherence to and compliance with all company and IT policies and procedures.
Participate in out of hours and weekend working and on call basis as the role requires.
KEY SKILLS:
PPM or PRINCE2 practitioner
Agile Scrum Master or equivalent experience
Minimum Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent experience
ITIL foundation
Experience in supporting and leading business transformation programmes
Experience in managing high value budget programmes/projects (>GBP1M)
Ability to create complex roadmaps and manage critical path and dependencies of large projects and programmes
