Finance Director
White Label Recruitment has been engaged to recruit a permanent Finance Director for an ambitious Group of Metals Engineering Manufacturing businesses in the UK supplying their products into the Construction industry. This role would be based in the High Peak area of the Peak District.
My Client is a 2nd generation family run business with a current aggregate turnover of GBP23m and pre–tax profit of GBP2.4m.
The business is currently led by a passionate, hands on owner with support from the Management team.
The Group comprises of three businesses two of which are recent acquisitions.
The business requires a commercially focused Finance Director to act as the owner's right hand, taking accountability for finance and operations.
The new Financial Director will be a hands–on inspirational mentor to build a supportive and motivated team, owning Operations and Finance within the business, working closely with the production, planning, engineering, sales & finance departments.
A leader that empowers staff will thrive in this environment, bringing a 'walk the floor' presence that staff will trust, learn, and respond to.
The finance team comprises of a Financial Controller (AAT) based at the Peak district head office. There are also 2x AAT qualified accountants working for the 2 recently acquired sites in Yorkshire. The plan will be to centralise this to head office.
Requirements to apply–
1.Strong Financial Director experience or Financial Controller ready to take the next step
2.CIMA qualified accountant –working in industry rather than practice or a Chartered Accountant (ACA or FCA) who has spent most of their working life in engineering/manufacturing.
3.Ideally located within 1 hours commute of High Peak area, Peak District
4.Can implement new Management Software Systems to provide uniform accounting reporting
5.Experience of M&A
6.Experience of and assistance with post M&A multi–site business, people and skills integration
7.Strong IT systems knowledge and familiarity
8. Worked ideally for an Owner led business
