This highly successful and innovative premium drinks manufacturing company is seeking a Strategic Business Leader with global supply chain leadership skills, coupled with strong FMCG production knowledge, to manage their global supply of luxury branded whiskies.

As a member of the site's Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for a large–scale team encompassing around 10 direct reports (approx. 65 indirect reports) in the areas of supply forecasting, demand planning and bottling production to meet the needs of regions around the globe.

You will drive the strategic development of the supply function, aligned with the wider global strategy, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders across the Group, to ensure the future success of the business. This will include the implementation of best practices to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of systems, processes and capacity.

Key Responsibilities include:

Ensure the Supply Planning teams deliver product on–time and in full against agreed SLA's, in order to improve business performance
Ensure highest levels of integration between supply team and purchasing, NPD and compliance teams
Oversee the high–level capacity planning to optimise customer service and reduce costs through effective shift planning and finite scheduling and the effective use of the APO system
Build relationships between our key stakeholders in the Marketing and Commercial Team, our markets worldwide, and other relevant Group supply chain partners
Develop and lead bottling supply to achieve short, medium and long–term business goals covering demand planning, production planning and production processes
With the Operations Director, set stretching KPI's to deliver continuous business improvements through change, innovation and optimisation of resources
Effectively manage the team to ensure that production quality, performance and budget targets are met
This senior position requires an individual with a demonstrable track record in supply planning management and strategic leadership experience in a global, fast paced FMCG environment. You will be highly numerate, with strong financial and budget management skills, with the ability to deliver operational excellence through the effective leadership of cross functional teams. Ideally, you will have experience in deploying Shingo Guiding Principles, to anchor initiatives and support the building of enterprise excellence (or similar) and have the vision to champion the site towards Manufacturing Industry 4.0.
