About the Interim Head of Human Resources vacancy:
Newport City Homes have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Human Resources (HR) professional to join our association as Interim Head of HR for 12 months. This is an exciting time to join as we embark on the next stage of our strategy. The Interim Head of HR will lead on all strategic aspects of HR and will be responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective HR service. With a collaborative and focused approach, the Interim Head of HR will act as a key partner and also critical friend to the Leadership Team and Executive Office, challenging ways of working and embedding a continuous improvement approach through HR activities. This role leads four direct reports and has an overall HR team of sixteen people.
NCH is currently undergoing a transformation programme, and the Interim Head of HR will be vital in ensuring a positive colleague experience from this change programme whilst balancing and maintaining effective BAU activities. Experience of leading a successful change programme would be highly advantageous.

Specifically, the Interim Head of Human Resources will:
* Lead on strategic aspects of HR, and the development and delivery of a transformational people and change service.
* Play a key role in supporting the Executive Director of Finance and Resources, and other members of the Leadership Team, in driving forward cultural and organisational change, notably ensuring HR achieve the overall business aims.
* Lead and manage the department on the delivery of all services ensuring value for money whilst delivering services that meet the needs of our residents and local communities.
* Be accountable for the resources deployed in meeting the accountabilities and responsibilities of the role, reviewing service delivery and seeking to continuously improve to achieve the highest levels of service.
* Be accountable for inspiring excellence and innovation in service delivery which embraces technology.
* Develop and manage KPIs for HR management to ensure high quality and professional service delivery.
* Work with the Leadership Team and colleagues across the association to develop NCH's HR approach.
* Be responsible for the HR budgets extending across multi–functioned department in in line with appropriate financial regulations and good governance.
