Senior Finance Manager – Maternity Cover

Location: Bristol

Compensation: Competitive salary plus benefits and potential for flexible working,

Timing: 18–month contract starting April / May 2021

Our Client is looking for a self–motivated and proactive individual to join our highly capable, welcoming, and dynamic Asset Management Team.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be working closely with a team of two other accountants to manage all financial aspects of multiple portfolios of renewable energy assets to ensure accurate, informative, and timely financial information is provided to managers and investors, enabling them to make informed decisions in relation to the assets.

Responsibilities include:

– Managing and developing junior members of the finance team

– Liaising with asset managers to produce comprehensive operating budgets and updates to forecasts

– Review and in some cases prepare monthly finance reports including variance analysis and cashflow projections

– Process payroll and manage benefits

– Covenant reporting and ensuring compliance with finance document for multiple lenders

– Manage the year end audit process

– Preparation of statutory accounts

– Liaise with tax advisors to ensure timely submission of tax returns and other required tax submissions, including R&D tax

– Contribute to projects which support and promote the improvements of our control and reporting processes

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The role is ideal for someone who is a team player with a can–do attitude, able to engage with non–finance colleagues and looking to further their career in finance.
Applicants should be qualified ACCA, CIMA, (or equivalent), accountant. Applicants should also have experience extracting, manipulating, and presenting data in excel.
Some experience working with renewable energy would be ideal but is not at all essential.
