Our Clients are a dynamic manufacturer, distributor, and recycler of building products, and we serve the nation via our network of over 200 retail branches across the UK. We know that our people are our greatest asset, and we are delighted to be growing our team further as we have a requirement for an experienced Business Development Manager, to work within one of the companies which are part of the Client Group.
Building on exceptionally strong sales growth within this company, the successful Business Development Manager would be responsible for developing and organising sales activities across the South West Region, managing a territory that covers Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, South Wales, North Wales, and across to Oxford. The role involves both account management and development an existing customer base, and new business, promoting the company as a valued source of supply within designated market sectors.

Duties:
• Account management of an existing customer base via regular contact and promotion of product ranges
• Identify, attract and establish new customer accounts in line with agreed targets, profit margins and product mix
• Ensure sales targets and budgets are met
• Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas through regular feedback
• Travel to meet clients within your area with occasional overnight stays
• Account management of an existing customer base via regular contact and promotion of
product ranges
• Identify, attract and establish new customer accounts in line with agreed targets, profit
margins and product mix
• Ensure sales targets and budgets are met
• Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas through regular feedback
• Travel to meet clients within your area (South UK) with occasional overnight stays
• Preparing quotations / proposals for potential customers
• Implementing marketing strategies and other projective guidelines and measures
• Recording up to date information on CRM

Key Skills / Experience:
• A strong commercial focus, with a good understanding of profit margins and opportunities
• The ability and experience to build strong relationships at a senior level
• Strong people skills, with an ability to influence
• Ambitious, enthusiastic, persistent and self–motivated
• Focussed, disciplined with exceptional negotiation skills
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
• Sound geographical knowledge with the ability to be active in the field
• Ability to thrive in a pressurised, sales–driven environment
• People person with the tenacity to build current customer base and win new business
• Good organisation, time management and planning skills
• Ability to resolve day–to–day problems, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Providing consistent back up to existing installers whilst bringing new installers on
to company schemes, in line with set criteria
