An exciting opportunity to join a well–established and rapidly growing business. Our client is an award–winning online gardening business, which offers carefully tried and tested plants, seeds, bulbs and gardening kits as well as lovely things for your home, personally selected by the business owner.

Channeling the owners voice, you will tell the brand's story, leading the content strategy that inspires existing customers and intrigues new ones. You will ensure optimal presentation of messages, through catalogue, video, search–optimised editorial or social how–to's. You conceptualise storytelling ideas to leverage brand awareness, add commercial value and reinforce brand positioning. You will lead the Creative Marketing Team and collaborate with all to deliver best in class creative that drives awareness, engagement and conversion.

Core responsibilities

* Delivering creative assets that will drive and support the commercial ambitions of the business

* Develop and articulate the brand's voice by narrating its story across all touchpoints. Ensure the written word conveys brand obsessions and passions, nudges conversion and enhances creative assets. Success measures:

* Devise and implement the end–to–end content strategy, ensuring the CRM programme is enriched with meaningful content.

* Lead all brand comms. Manage the design team, and freelance copy writing resource in producing pitch–perfect comms across print, digital and social.

* Drive organic search visibility through creation of optimised content. Working with the digital team to elevate the business to the top of Google's organic search listings.

* Lead social strategy. Manage the social media accounts, ensuring engaging content is published with the appropriate frequency for existing followers, and generating creative to attract new customers.

* Build the global influencer network, nurturing relationships with key influencers + brand ambassadors.

* Production management Oversee the production manager, to ensure that all design and content creation is managed efficiently through well produced critical paths and rigorous traffic management

Key Skills

* 5+ years of proven experience creating content

* Ability to think creatively about requirement and deliver high brand standards

* Experience and confidence working on digital platforms

* Experience writing copy to a brand's tone of voice

* Experience in leading and managing a growing creative team

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functions

* Highly collaborative, detail oriented and a strong communicator

* Detail orientated and highly–organised with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
