Senior role within a Dynamics AX and D365 boutique software business. We are looking for a Dynamics AX or D365 Senior Project Manager with finance and operations who has managed functional D365 / AX projects or Dynamics AX data centre operations, integrations or migrations, who can forecast budgets, take sole responsibility for selecting consulting and implementation teams, and keep the client base satisfied, happy and well looked after. This is a small specialist ERP consulting company with around 40 staff, they are experts in their niche market and have a 35 year track record. To GBP70k plus car allowance. Home based permanent role anywhere in the UK.

You will have worked with MS Dynamics AX / D365 F & O for at least 5 years, you will be familiar with clients upgrading to D365 in the cloud, and will have the necessary functional and technical knowledge to understand the upgrade path, and the migrations and integrations required to make the change, and managing the clients' expectations. Other clients may have failed Dynamics AX implementations that need rescuing.

Reporting to the Directors, you will be the lead on choosing and managing the team and resources for each project, which could include your own Dynamics AX / 365 Consultants, and / or contractors and third party resources. Hopefully you're also happy to do some chargeable work yourself, such as steering meetings, discovery workshops and functional specifications. You will maintain regular contact with your AX and D365 clients, and will be able to report to management as to the status of each project.

Strong experience of preparing and managing project budgets is essential, and you will be required to work with the FD and provide quarterly billing forecasts, and monthly client billings backed up by documentation and time sheets, as well as setting targets and budgets for chargeable work. You are a stickler for attention to detail, great documentation, and proven methodologies that ensure smooth projects and happy customers.

You can manage and motivate ERP Consultants, and you understand the issues with getting the right consultants to the client on the right day to do the tasks. You create sound project management plans to capture requirements, milestones and deliverables to complete projects; you manage consultants activity, schedules, creep, risk and stakeholders, and you are a strong communicator who can deal with the assorted pain points along the way.

Additional useful skills – software consultancy background, managing and protecting custom IP, Power Apps and / or Power BI, data analysis, Dynamics GP or CRM, program management.

This is a strategic role in a very successful, niche MS Dynamics consulting firm. Warrington is just a pinpoint, not where they are centered. You can live anywhere in the UK as the position is remote. Contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing to find out more or to apply
