Business Development Manager / Team Leader. IT Managed Services Provision and Cloud Migration Sales
This is a fully Remote role looking after team based variously around the UK and will involve UK business travel post Covid. Will suit South Wales based candidate – Cardiff or Newport ideally. Clean UK Driving license required.
GBP40,00 –GBP60,000 pa basic plus commission and team performance bonus and car allowance to take OTE up to GBP90–100K + Benefits
Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer of this fast growing IT Managed Services and Cloud Migration company you will manage a currently small to mid–size team of IT Sales Business Development Managers against a set of new business and retention targets while driving a personal contribution into a selection of existing accounts.
You will need to be able to perform confidently in high level, senior audience sales meetings both in person and over the phone and on video calls. You will operate at a strategic level, working with both new and existing clients to maximise revenue and build ongoing relationships.
Other responsibilities:
Identify key strengths and weaknesses in team members and coach them
Manage systems to ensure sufficient pipeline is built and discharged against quota
Ensure business intelligence is gathered across all nominated accounts and inputted to CRM to assist with Marketing campaigns
Manage risk to contract renewal by regular client engagement and by running a process to define and mitigate contract risk
Maintain a forecast
Identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales that meets and exceed revenue and margin growth targets
Maintain, develop, and evangelise corporate image and reputation, and protect and develop the company's brand
Identify cross–selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate accounts
Create, develop, and maintain sales strategies with our key vendor partners and integrators
Help meet or exceed key target objectives through increased customer satisfaction
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in managing IT sales representatives
Experience of running performance plans and dealing with under performance
Experience in account and new logo development at a senior and strategic level
Knowledge and experience of a structured sales process
Experience in the development of cross functional relationships with both internal teams and external clients
Strong negotiation and communication (verbal and written)
Experience in selling service–based solutions – Ideally IT products and services. IT Managed Service background is ideal.
Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
You will be self–driven, results–oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit
You will be a forward planner who critically assesses your own performance and can guide others
You will be mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior executives
