We're interested in speaking with experienced MRICS Directors with a PQS background who are capable of leading an expanding team delivering cost management duties on various capital projects across the East of England.

Your New Role

We are recruiting a leader for an industry leading consultancy who are experiencing a surge in new projects following the pandemic slow down. With plans back on track they are continuing to develop their senior team to match this demand. As such, we are recruiting an experienced Director capable of managing and growing an experienced team delivering cost management duties on various capital projects across the East of England. You will be joining a team of like–minded Directors who share your passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions. As a leading consultant, they play a critical role in creating and delivering flagship construction projects, defining skylines and amazing spaces across the country. You will be a directly involved with client liaising, acting as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and be specifically responsible for business development and winning new commissions.

The firm has developed a worldwide reputation for providing a comprehensive and value driven service for their clients in the public and commercial sectors. You will be part of a Cost Management team that covers the whole project lifecycle from initial inception, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase. Projects are procured from a core of regular repeat clients and typically range in value from GBP5m – GBP50m, with some over GBP250m. Having also secured places on a number of frameworks, the team is expanding to deliver an exciting mix of projects across a range of sectors. A heavy bias will be on Higher Education work representing some of the world's highest–ranking Universities, healthcare, public and private sector science and commercial developments.

As a Director, you will actively lead the team on individual projects as well as technically complex projects, typically ranging between GBP1m to GBP40m (construction cost); taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery. You will provide trategic guidance and oversight to a portfolio of projects being led within the East of England to ensure succesful delivery in all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from project inception to completion. With a passion for first class service delivery, you will drive performance standards to ensure a professional, premium quality services to the construction industry. The role will be fully client facing and you will become the main client point of contact for this regions projects.

Interest is welcome from Professionally qualified Quantity Surveyors with a degree in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management. You will need a solid career history working at Director level, ideally on behalf of a recognised Consultant or Cost Consultancy. Cross Sector experience is preferred but exposure to Higher Education, Healthcare, Science and Commercial sector experience would be advantageous.
