This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor (5 years PQE +) as head of department.
My client is a multi-service law firm with offices in the North West and the Head Office in Manchester, and they are in the market for a Head of Court of Protection
In this role, you will develop a small specialist team of solicitors & fee earners and undertake interesting work on behalf of a wide range of clients
The firm have a long-standing tradition of promoting from within and will consider offering Partnership to candidates with the relevant experience and expertise. For senior associates, there are genuine partnership prospects later down the line.
In addition, they really look after their staff which currently stands at over 100 across the North West
Head of Court of Protection - Greater Manchester
The company & role;
• You will lead a team involved in all aspects of Court of Protection work including the financial management and administration of professional Deputyships, Trusts & Powers of Attorney, making applications to the Court of Protection, dealing with all aspects of welfare benefit applications and providing advice in relation to Local Authority funding and assessment for care home fees • The firm are committed to the continually training and developing their staff and have been awarded the Investors in People Gold accreditation. • Commutable from Manchester & Lancashire and can be based out of either office or both

The ideal candidate • A Court of Protection Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE • Will have extensive experience in all aspects of Court of Protection work • Will have experience of managing a team and supervising junior solicitors and legal executives • Will have an empathetic, personable, calm and caring nature • Will have a down-to-earth attitude and excellent client care and communication skills
