Position: Finance Manager / Accountant
Covering: Doocey Group of Companies
Reporting to: Group Finance Manager, Directors
Doocey Group is seeking a Finance Manager/Accountant to add to its existing team, based at their Head Office in Tipton, West Midlands to support the continued development of the business, strengthen financial controls and improve management and financial reporting. The position is key to the continued growth of the Group and will support all accountancy needs throughout the business. You will have worked within a medium sized finance function previously with multi company experience an advantage. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of Sage 50 accounts, excellent excel skills and be confident dealing with internal and external key stakeholders with both financial and non–financial information, with excellent attention to detail, the ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically and able to use initiative and are an innovative thinker.
Required: Preparation of monthly management accounts incorporating profit and loss account and balance sheet.
Preparation of financial reports to support commercial management.
Assisting with preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets
Balance sheet reconciliations (including inter–company and deferred income/WIP reconciliations)
Preparation of information for the annual audits
Assisting with improving / documenting finance processes
Overseeing and ensuring completeness of transaction.
Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers.
Processing VAT and CIS returns
Aiding the Group Finance Manager and Directors with the Group strategy going forward.
Minimum: Experience in a similar role, with Construction experience preferred.
Excel & Sage 50 Accounts experience
Experience of working within a team comprising financial and non–financial management.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical financial knowledge and must have a relevant accounting qualification such as CIMA and/or be qualified by substantial relevant work experience, with the ability to apply their specialist skill set to achieve desired outcomes
