About Us

May Walters is a boutique search consultancy specialising in senior positions within the environmental sector.

Our client is a leading global multi disciplinary with a reputation of delivering high value and complex solutions to clients. The environmental division is rapidly expanding and has an established trusted relationship with clients, delivering a diverse range of solutions from international finance & ESIA through to health and environmental risk assessment.

An opportunity has been identified for an individual to strengthen the leadership team of the environmental division. Responsibilities would include;

Job Description

• Efficient delivery of complex environmental planning projects

• Mentoring and leadership of existing team, thought leadership and delivering advice on emerging environmental legislation

• Develop a trusted partner relationship with clients, working with other divisions to identify and advise on further commercial opportunities

• Represent and increase the visibility of the EIA team at a national level within the business

In addition to being appropriately qualified and chartered, it is envisaged that the right individual would;

• Be located in the UK, preferably in the Midlands or North, however individuals based within the UK would be considered

• Demonstrate a good technical understanding of EIA or planning lead project delivery

• Have a track record in delivering complex environmental projects on time and budget

• Have a background in delivering EIA projects, or chapters of these projects within the UK

• Be able to develop client relationships and translate technical issues in a commercial manner

In addition to the above, our client requires the right individual who is motivated in a similar way to the staff and the management team.

Interest would be welcomed from all who can demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to clients as a pre–requisite.

For the right individual, a very competitive package would be constructed, together with a performance related bonus, reflective of the role and contribution made. In terms of prospects, the culture of the organisation is geared towards enabling individuals to achieve their professional goals and understanding these goals would form a part of the interview process.

Despite having internationally scalable resources, the division that this opportunity is within is managed autonomously, therefore it can provide a large scope of progression and a supportive culture indicative of a smaller company.
