The Head of Learning and Development role is a senior management role requiring a high degree of confidence, control and credibility who will be responsible for the design and delivery of all management development programmes as well as managing various technical and professional L&D academies across the group.

In this role you are accountable for:
The design, validation and delivery of all management development programmes (all levels from first line management to executive leadership).
Management of all technical and professional development academies, ensuring full stakeholder engagement and outputs are achieved.
Leadership of our Early Years programme including, but not limited to: Degree Apprenticeships, Graduates, Student placements.
Management of the Apprenticeship programme ensuring full utilisation of spend of the Levy pot (currently GBP1.5mm);
Investigation and utilisation of appropriate learning technologies and platforms to ensure full reach of learning opportunities for everyone.
Developing and implementing a new performance management framework (system, process and cycle) that supports our colleagues to maximise their capabilities whilst also driving business performance.
Acting as a coach to senior managers on a variety of development matters and needs.
Supporting and actively contributing to key projects within the wider HR team, supporting the Group HR Director, as required.
Managing external stakeholders – including training providers, universities, accrediting bodies and assessors.
