The Company
Our client are a leading national, multi disciplinary Engineering Contractor with a strong presence in the MEP Construction, Facilities Management and Process Engineering sectors. With ambitious plans for 2021 and 2022 they are now looking to appoint a Group Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Director to help support that growth, providing additional expertise and structure to the business.
The Role
As the group operates a number of companies in complimentary sectors they are now seeking a Group Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Director who, along with the Senior Leadership Team will help shape and implement the strategic direction for the HSEQ function in the UK.
This is a newly created, exciting and dynamic role, reporting directly to the Group Board and is a position of significant importance within the organisation, providing assurance to the Group Board and their clients that HSEQ risk is effectively managed through the delivery of a programme of operational excellence. You will also lead the Environmental Safety Group program and will be responsible for reporting for the Group including the definition and measurement of all KPI's.
In addition to the positions strategic responsibilities you be responsible for tactical planning and managing a team of HSEQ professional across multiple locations, providing the necessary support and leadership to ensure the team achieves their full potential.
The Person
The successful candidate will need excellent people skills and a flair for influencing up and down to achieve positive outcomes. You will have the necessary strategic vision to identify innovative ideas and convert these into successful projects which have a tangible impact on HSEQ performance. As the group operates across a number of sectors it would be advantageous to have experience in more than 1 of the sectors they operate in (MEP, Process Engineering/FMCG and Facilities Management).
Qualifications
Chartered Membership of IOSH and a relevant degree level qualification
