Join Chester based accountancy firm as a Senior VAT Manager - £50,000-65,000
Your new company
Join one of the most esteemed tax consultancies of chartered accountants in the North West as they continue capitalising on their recent successes servicing their clients following the COVID outbreak. They are looking for a VAT Senior Manager to help build out their VAT offering, expecting many existing clients to request this advice in the run up to and aftermath of Brexit. They have excellent staff retention within this firm and can provide a great set of work across a varied, national client base, all while being based in Chester.
Your new role
In this Chester based job opportunity your primary responsibility as VAT Senior Manager will be to manage a portfolio of clients and, alongside the partners, be the main point of contact for clients. You will regularly be involved with tax planning and complex tax issues, for a client base that range in turnovers between £1-700m. You will encourage the VAT offering in your new Chester-based firm and will also reviewing and signing off final advice. You will complete the associated complex compliance work as part of the projects you work on and work collaboratively with other members of your new firm to maximise impact on behalf of clients.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be accountancy or tax qualified. In order to be successful in this role, you must have significant UK VAT knowledge and experience. Experience of project management an d practising confidence with a large portfolio of clients will also be necessary for this role. If you have previously been involved in business development and have knowledge of numerous industries' indirect tax markets, this position will provide excellent career progression and the opportunity to challenge yourself with an interesting and varied workload.
