Job Overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager to join our client, who are leaders in the HVAC field. From their Head Office on the south coast, they design, develop, manufacture, project manage a full install and then manage the maintenance of the product – A full turnkey solution.
As a Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager you will be taking responsibility for the effective management and co–ordination of all external projects on behalf of our commercial clients. You will be taking a line management approach to a number of Regional Project Managers tasked with the successful delivery of Project deliverables, whilst being responsible for the planning of required resources, financial budgeting and overall governance of these Projects.
You will contribute interdepartmentally within the company representing the interests of the Projects team within a wider Management structure.
Role and Responsibilities
Initial planning of Project programmes including defining the Projects governance structure
Daily programme management and monitoring throughout the project programme life cycle
The planning and management of resources across in line with successful project delivery including Project Managers and Site Engineers
Engagement of and regular liaison with key project stakeholders
Management and oversight of project, programme and financial risks including control measures and corrective action
Undertake regular meetings with Regional Project Managers to assess project and programme progression against targeted expectations
To ensure departmental compliance with H&S legislation, BSI requirements and internal auditing
Undertake weekly reviews with Associate Services Director to analyse and review project programmes and financial targets
To assist the Associate Services Director with setting and implementing strategic developments within the department in line with the overall business growth plans
To assist the Associate Services Director with implementing any necessary changes to the employment structure within the projects department
Periodically present to Board of Directors on previous, current and future performance within the Projects team including KPI evaluation, strategic direction and financial metrics

Desirable: IOSH/NEBOSH Qualification
Essential: Prince 2, Agile, MSP, PMP or APM Qualification
Essential: Asbestos Awareness
Essential: CSCS card
Experience
Experience within the ventilation or construction industry
Direct experience of line management
Proven ability to deliver multi aspect projects on time, within budget and to client's satisfaction
Demonstratable ability to plan for successful outcomes within a project delivery model
Experience of planning work schedules for others and managing the ongoing workflow in line with a programme of works
Experience of working and delivering to project KPIs and drivers
Experience working within Project Management planning software such as MS Projects/Monday/Dynamics Service Automation
Knowledge
Knowledge of BSI 9001 and the plan/do/check/act improvement cycle
Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and good practice
Good knowledge of project and programme management methodology and techniques
