Blackwaters are working with a world leading technology business based in Woking who are looking for a Financial Controller. This is a super commercial role, reporting into the Finance Director, whilst managing a team of two. The Financial Controller will come from and will predominately focus on bids, you will lead the bid and quoting for one of the most respected and established organisations in the UK.
Our client is looking for someone that has the experience and ambition to take ownership of the finance's bid function, in this role you willhave the opportunity to build a high performing quoting team and provide comprehensive business cases to support bids. You will also have exposure to new business, business partnering and FP&A.
We are looking for someone that is an analytical thinker, who can build relationships internally and externally whilst also being commercially astute with a track record of improving and helping with commercial growth.
Role

Role
- To be the lead on all client bids and tenders
- To ensure the smooth day to day running of the Quoting function.
- Define and track suitable KPI for the Quoting team
- Build and manage a suite of business case models and supporting guidance to support bids
- Partner with the bid teams to provide proactive support to improve profit and cash flows
- Be a true business partner to the wider finance team and other departments within the business
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Bid's experience and knowledge
- Robust experience of financial accounting and management reporting procedures and routines
- Resilient and confident individual with consummate influencing and persuasion skills.
- Presentable and personable – the candidate must be immediately credible with stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
