Founded in 2019 by a former Deputy Chief Investment Officer at a $5bn+ London–based asset management firm, our client is funded by its own management team, and a commitment of up to $500m from funds managed by a leading global investment firm. To support their next planned phase of growth, our client is looking to hire a talented Investment Director. This is an exceptional and rare opportunity, offering outstanding and accelerated career growth, as well as the opportunity to work alongside a leading authority in the industry.Key Responsibilities:The Investment Director will be responsible for assisting the leadership team with all aspects of the investment process, primarily:Carry out quantitative and qualitative investment analysesConducting investment due diligencePreparing detailed investment committee papersProject management of the investment triage and underwriting processesConduct research in relation to transactions or general marketsDetailed profiling of borrower balance sheets and income statementsAlso to include:Screening of incoming leads (risk assessment, insights & research) Assisting coordination of external advisers' processes Providing input to preparation of terms & term–sheets for borrowersThe Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate who is both intellectual and analytical as well as personable and social.The candidate should demonstrate that they are ambitious, self–motivated, detail–orientated and can function independently as necessary.The candidate should have an interest in credit/lending, insurance, investment management and related sectors.The RequirementsTo qualify for the role, the candidate must have:Proven professional experience in credit/lending, insurance, investment management or other related sectorsA qualified Actuary or AccountantDetailed knowledge of Insurance Balance sheetsRegulatory experience and knowledge within at least one of: UK, US, Europe, Australia, Canada, Bermuda.Maths / Mathematical DegreeTeam management capabilityExperience working with third party vendors
