Sustainability Associate Director
Our client is a leading Architectural Practice with offices across the UK as well as Internationally. They are currently around 200 strong within the UK and have made 30 hires over the last year with no signs of slowing down. They believe in integrating Sustainability into all of their design and there for are looking to bring it in house. Because of this they are looking for an Associate Director that can spearhead this department in any of their Northern offices which are; Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester or Glasgow. This person will get to steer the direction of the Sustainability department as they see fit and will be given the opportunity to grow the department from the ground up with full autonomy.
The successful Sustainability Associate Director will be used to leading building performance simulation and energy related workstreams, using a range of modelling approaches, tools and techniques. You will have held positions where you have been involved with the development to more junior members of staff. You will play a part in the development of energy strategies with our clients to lead sustainability innovation on a series of development types/ sectors. You will ideally have experience with business development and be able to manage stakeholders accordingly.
Your key work streams will be;
* Building physics and parametric model services
* Building performance and operational energy optimisation
* Certification and compliance
* Health and wellbeing advice and guidance
* Net zero carbon services
* Sustainability design services
* Sustainable Strategy and Governance
Associate Sustainability Consultant Requirements:
* Msc in relevant field
* 7 years in a similar position within a consultancy
* Knowledge of parametric design
* Knowledge of energy and carbon strategies
* Knowledge of building regulations Part L assessments
* Ideally CEng or CEnv
* Advantageous if you have working knowledge of Revit
* Ideally accredited Passive Haus Designer
* Advantageous if you have experience implementing Zero Carbon strategies
