Location: Central London

Salary: GBP90,000 to GBP110,000 plus bonus & benefits

If you are interested in working for a super prime central London development organisation who redevelop some of London's finest real estate on behalf of major real estate investment funds and private clients, this opportunity could be for you. Despite the pandemic, they remain exceptionally busy with multiple projects at various stages of the development life cycle. A Project Director is required to lead their internal team to deliver an end–to–end role from site identification through to delivery and sale. You must be fully invested in each project as if its your own and have a track record of successful full project delivery.

About the role:

The projects are a mix of cut and carve, extension/basement dig, refurbishment, and new build, in prime London post codes, with construction costs between GBP5 million and GBP20 million. They currently have 4 projects at various stages with a GDV of circa GBP100 million. The Project Director will work closely with the acquisitions and investment/finance team supporting front–end viability and be responsible for the appointment of the professional consultant teams to take the projects through planning, design, contractor appointment and build to FF&E completion.

Responsibilities and duties

Preconstruction appointment across all disciplines
Responsible for reviewing all scope of services
Budget responsibility, supporting the Finance Director
Party Wall agreements
Planning permissions
Management of internal project manager
Vigorous tender processes, inspections and understanding value
Sub–contractor packages pricing and tendering
Constant quality control and ongoing negotiations
Managing and coordinating the design team
Monthly reporting to funds/investorsAbout you:

A minimum of 8 years' experience working for a contractor, developer, or consultant
Residential sector experience preferred but not essential
Experience across all phases of the development life cycle with full start to finish delivery track record
A can–do attitude, someone willing to go the extra mile to get the project over the line
A versatile individual who can communicate across all levels and carry out site based practical duties through to reporting at C–Suite level
